muttlover asked:

Two of my sisters and I might get the chance to visit my niece next summer. She has not yet moved there but is moving close to Kaiserslautern this spring. We are just in the beginning stages of planning the trip. This summer we went to Venice to visit another niece. (BIG family) Although she was working in Tuscany we picked Venice by taking a poll of the one place most people we asked wanted to return. IT WAS WONDERFUL! We won’t have a lot of time to explore while in Germany so thought I’d start collecting people’s opinions now. THANKS!

Paris Hilton is right-Lake Konstance is gorgeous. You can take a ferry from Konstance (the city) and see the Isle Mainau (an island filled with flowers-hey, if it´s cold, they have a great butterfly house worth seeing).

Try to get to the east a little bit and visit Mad Ludwig’s Dream - Neuschwanstein Castle. We just traveled through this area one the way back from Venice, and the leaves are turning colors and it´s gorgous.
